Carnival’s are usually known for their debauchery and glamorous costumes. But, they’re also known to be a time when people’s quirky sides come out. Here are five of the weirdest and funniest costumes/people, who don’t fit in with the feathers and whips, that I saw in at the Carnaval Vegano in the Dominican Republic, February 20th, 2011.Enjoy!
I had looked up in advance where the best and wildest carnival celebration was going to be held, and I found La Vega was the place to be! On its well organized Spanish website it listed concerts, kings and queens of past celebrations AND most importantly pictures of costumes that involved a lot of glitter, thongs, elaborate make-up, feathers and whips? Oooooo, my kinda party!
