V.O.I.C.E.S Hip Hop Fundraiser- Relief 4 Pakistan
This is a event I am hosting with the VOICES Collaborative on Nov. 11th at 6pm to help raise funds for Relief4Pakistan. We would love to have you there to learn more about flood relief efforts going on in Pakistan with youth and rural development, but also on learning about the travel situation in Pakistan for relief workers.
Voices Organizing for International Change, Empowerment and Support featuring DJs spinning, Live Pakistani musicians, Hip Hop performers, multimedia presentation, drinks, Pakistani appetizers, photography exhibit and networking with like-minded people interested in activism, international development and social change.
VOICES is a monthly event series designed to raise funds and awareness for grassroots organizations across the globe th…at support empowerment, development and leadership.
This month’s event will spotlight: Relief 4 Pakistan
Relief4Pakistan is a grassroots rapid response campaign designed to mobilize a centralized donor response to the floods in Pakistan. In the second phase, Relief4Pakistan working to provide funds and support for housing and agricultural restoration in villages that are not receiving aid, that “fall through the cracks.” They will initially target 3-4 villages in southern Punjab, in Rajanpour, partnering with a local organization and the tribal leadership to ensure this success.
